HE Lecturer: Music & Music Technology
I have been teaching undergraduate Music and Music Technology students at Coventry University since 2010. During this time I have been a Year Tutor, as well as a Module Leader and the Choirmaster for the department. In 2015 and 2017, I helped to redesign modules as part of the re-validation process.
I have taught and assessed a wide variety of undergraduate student work from 40+ modules over the last ten years. These include: dissertations, composition portfolios, digital music production portfolios, ensemble and solo performances, collaborative final projects, PDP portfolios, music theory papers, analysis essays and a range of presentations.
I have also worked internationally, assessing the dissertations and research presentations for the top-up BSc Music Technology degree course at the Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI), Hong Kong, awarded by Coventry University.
As part of my role, I have taken students on field trips, both locally (Birmingham Symphony Hall) and internationally (New York, USA).
